It’s a Gonzo World
During my senior year at The University of Tennessee, I embarked on the challenge of going through the full pitching process of a show. This class required my partners and I to conceptualize an original show or documentary, craft a pitch deck, and produce a sizzle reel. The final project was then presented to a panel of executives from a diverse range of media companies from across the United States. This class was truly a great challenge, yet one of the most rewarding challenges I’ve experienced thus far. During this class, I contributed to two distinct projects, showcasing a different story and facet of creativity. It’s a Gonzo World is a journalistic reporting show diving into the most unique and wacky worlds and events throughout the US.
Rock Camp
Rock Camp is a feature length documentary highlighting Girls Rock Camp, a girls music camp located in Chattanooga, TN. Girls Rock Camp creates a safe space for girls and LGBTQ youth to express their ideas and dreams through music. Campers bond with others, express their true selves, and learn to explore these ideas and feelings through music. With the state of Tennessee being a frontrunner for the most Anti-LGBTQ laws proposed, the world these girls live in is an unwelcoming and overwhelming place to be in. This documentary will shine a light on the beautiful and welcoming environment Girls Rock creates for youth in Tennessee.
